From San Francisco
I-80 East to Oakland, take CA-24 exit from I-580 East. Merge onto I-80 East, stay right to take Interstate 580 E exit towards CA-24/Hayward/Stockdon. Continue onto I-580 East, take CA-24 exit towards Berkeley/Walnut Creek. Keep right, follow signs for 51st Street. Turn right onto 52nd Street, turn left onto Shattuck Ave and turn right onto Allston Way.
From the Northeast
I-80 West to University Ave in Berkeley. Turn right onto Oxford Street and turn right onto Allston Way.
From the Northwest
US-101 South to I-580 East (signs for Richmond Bridge/Oakland). Merge onto I-580 East/I-80 West towards Oakland/San Francisco. Exit 11 to merge onto University Ave. Turn right onto Oxford Street and turn right onto Allston Way.
From the South
US-101 North and merge onto I-880 North to Dixon Landing Road West. Turn right onto Dixon Road, turn right onto Fremont Blvd, turn right onto Lakeview Blvd, turn right onto Warren Avenue and turn right to merge onto I-880 North. Exit for I-980 toward CA-24/Walnut Creek, continue onto CA-24 East and take exit 2 for Martin Luther King Jr Way. Merge onto Martin Luther King Jr Way and continue onto Adeline Street, turn right onto Adeline Street, turn slightly left onto Shattuck Avenue and turn right onto Allston Way.
Garage parking is available on an hourly basis at numerous nearby locations. The closest garage is the City of Berkeley’s Oxford Garage, located directly underneath the Brower Center – enter at 2161 Kittredge. From BART Downtown Berkeley Station head south on Shattuck Avenue and turn left onto Allston Way.
The David Brower Center strives to be accessible to all audiences. The main floor, which includes our Lobby, Theater, Hazel Wolf Gallery, Kinzie conference room, and public restrooms is fully compliant with ADA regulations. The second floor Tamalpais room and Terrace are accessible by an ADA compliant elevator. The DBC also offers assisted-listening devices that can be set up for events in the Goldman Theater, Kinzie, and Tamalpais rooms.
