B of Service Day (North Bay)

  • Petaluma Library 100 Fairgrounds Dr Petaluma, CA 94952 USA (map)

Join fellow Bay Area B Corps for B of Service, our annual volunteer day!

This event is organized in the East Bay, SF, and North Bay to create meaningful connections between B Corps and our community, and to kickstart connections with causes that help people feel more empowered to serve our ecosystem.

In the North Bay, we'll be working with Daily Acts at the Petaluma Library rain garden! In 2017, Daily Acts worked with the library and the City of Petaluma to cover 8,000 square feet of lawn into a beautiful mulched landscape, saving 200,000 gallons of water each year. Our volunteer day will consist of infill planting, moving mulch, and fixing irrigation.

About Daily Acts:
Daily Acts is a sustainability non-profit that inspires action to create more nourishing, connected, and resilient communities. Grounded in the core belief that every choice you make matters, they take a heart-centered approach to personal and community transformation. Their education programs, action campaigns, and strategic alliances connect people to each other and to their own power to grow food, conserve resources and build local resilience.

Schedule: 2:00 - 4:00pm
We'll start with a short presentation by Daily Acts staff then get to work! Afterward we can head to The Block for happy hour if there is enough interest.

Logistics:
Please wear gardening clothes including closed-toe shoes and bring your own reusable water bottle, hat, sunscreen and layers.

Parking is available on the streets adjacent to the library or at the fairgrounds. Carpooling is encouraged!

Let’s show our community spirit and B of Service!
